Whom Does Coach Gautam Gambhir Hold Accountable For The Bengaluru Stampede? India Head Coach Makes Bold Statement News24 –
Shubman Gill makes his first appearance as India Test captain at the pre-departure press conference in Mumbai, where he was accompanied by head coach Gautam Gambhir, ahead of India’s tour of England. The India-England Test series gets underway on 20 June, and the Gill-led squad will be playing an intra-squad game with India A for a warm-up before the main event. At the press conference, when asked about who he thinks is responsible for the Bengaluru stampede that took place yesterday, he replied,
“I don’t believe much in celebration. It should not have taken place. If you are not capable of organizing such a massive gathering, then don’t do it. Winning is important and not the celebration. I do not think we should have road shows. In the future, we can be more sure about this. My heart goes out to the people who lost their lives. We are all equally responsible for this. All I can say is, we need to be responsible. Every life matters. If we are not ready to hold a road show, we should not do that. You cannot lose 11 people.”

Tragedy At Bangalore
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their maiden IPL title at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The champion team was supposed to celebrate their victory among the Bangalore crowd that had stayed loyal to them for the past 18 years. This victory celebration turned into a tragic accident when a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium led to 11 deaths and several injuries.
