Adrian le Roux has been selected as Team India’s new Strength and Conditioning Coach. Adrian le Roux, an expert in sports science from South Africa, has been named the men’s cricket team’s new Strength and Conditioning Coach. The new appointment comes after the departure of Soham Desai, who has recently resigned.
Second Time with Team India
This will not be the first tie for Le Roux with India. He previously held this position between January 2002 and May 2003 and has gained over two decades of knowledge in international cricket and sports science, returning now to this role.

Longstanding Involvement in the IPL
He has appeared in many matches in the Indian Premier League. He worked with the Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008 to 2019 and the team won two trophies — both under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir in 2012 and 2014. Punjab Kings entered into a deal with him in 2018 and he stayed with the team till 2024.
Test Series against England.
The first thing Le Roux will do in his new job is take charge of the five-game Test series between India and England, which will begin on June 20 at Leeds. The series will have matches at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford, and The Oval.
Team India, guided by Shubman Gill, want to achieve what has not yet been done since 2007, winning their Test series in England. This series officially begins the new cycle of the World Test Championship which will continue until August 4.
