Ben Duckett And Jaiswal Were Chosen As Openers
Wisden has picked Ben Duckett and Yashasvi Jaiswal in its squad as openers. Indian young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is among the top run-scoring openers, with 1903 runs scored in 20 matches at an average of 52.56 since WTC 2023-25 began. In this, he made 5 centuries and 10 half-centuries. This was also his first World Test Championship cycle. Meanwhile, England opener Ben Duckett scored 1821 runs in 24 matches at an average of 42.34 during this time, with four centuries and nine half-centuries.
