The Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota died in a fatal car crash and it happened because he was likely driving the car at high speed when his Lamborghini veered off the road and erupted in flames in Northwestern Spain. This is according to a new report released on Tuesday, July 8 by forensic findings.
“The forensics team is analysing the marks left by one of the car’s wheels on the asphalt that suggest a tyre burst and whether that and excessive speed caused the crash,” police said in a statement as mentioned by Reuters.
The car crash was absolutely tragic and not just Jota but his brother Andre Silva also died. Both the brothers were going by road as the doctors advised Jota not to travel by airplane due to the minor lung surgery he went through. Ten days before the fatal crash he married his longtime partner Rute Cardoso in an intimate ceremony held in Porto.
