Team India Creates History
Back in the 1974–75 Test series, West Indies had hit a total of 32 sixes in five matches against India. Since then, no team has managed to hit more sixes in an overseas Test series. However, the Indian team has now broken this 50-year-old record. So far, India has hit 36 sixes in the ongoing series against England. In the first Test, India hit 12 sixes, followed by 19 sixes in the second Test.
In the first innings of the third Test at Lord’s, India hit 5 sixes. One Indian innings is still left in this match, and two more matches remain in the series. So, the number of sixes could easily go past 50. Team India is expected to continue showing its batting power in the upcoming games.
