Born on September 8, 1986 in Hyderabad, Telengana, Kashyap started playing badminton at a very young age. He professionally started to train at the Pullela Gopichand Academy where he trained under legendary coach Pullela Gopichand. Over the time he emerged as one of the top players in India known for endurance, coverage and his fighting spirit.

Kashyap achieved multiple milestones in his career which also made him visible on global stage.
