CWI Calls Emergency Meeting! Invite Brian Lara, Clive Lloyd, Vivian Richards After West Indies 27 All Out Failure Against Australia News24 –

West Indies’ humiliating loss against Australia has raised many questions and also led to Cricket West Indies (CWI) call an emergency meeting to address the situation. The board also extended invitations to West Indies legends Clive Llyod, Sir Vivian Richards and Brian Lara to give insights and be a part of the discussion.

CWI Calls For Emergency Meeting

“As an immediate step, I have advised the Chair of the Cricket Strategy and Officiating Committee to convene an emergency meeting to review the recent Test series against Australia, particularly the final match,” CWI president Dr Kishore Shallow said in a statement.

“To strengthen the discussions, I have extended invitations to three of our greatest batsmen ever: Sir Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards, and Brian Lara. They will join past greats Dr. Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Dr. The Most Honourable Desmond Haynes, Ian Bradshaw, who already serve on the committee.”

West Indies’ Crushing Loss Against Australia

This urgent step comes after the Caribbean side suffered a shocking defeat and were all out at a mere score of 27. Australia were absolutely dominant as Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc wrecked havoc on field. Both the bowlers were exceptional on field, Scott Boland took a hattrick while Mitchell Starc took 5 wickets in just 15 balls. Starc showed his supremacy in the pink ball Test and joined an elite club of fast bowlers with 400 or more wickets.

West Indies now have away tours of India and New Zealand where the batters will again face a tough challenge and there is another away series in this WTC cycle in Bangladesh. Coming back home the team will face Sri Lanka and Pakistan, hence the Caribbean side has a long packed schedule ahead.
