Lucknow Super Giants Ropes In Bharat Arun As Bowling Coach- A Game-Changing Move? News24 –

Former bowling coach of the Indian national team Bharat Arun, who was previously associated with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is now set to join Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as a bowling coach. According to the reports, the experienced coach has agreed to a two-year deal with the franchise owned by Sanjiv Goenka and will now be close to the team’s bowlers not only during the IPL but also in the off-season as part of a broader player development strategy.

Right from the 2022 session, it has been noted that Arun was at KKR for four consecutive years.

Characterized by his technical skills, Arun was responsible for building KKR’s bowling attack as one of the strongest parts in the tournament.

Reports suggest that his exit from KKR was conducted in mutual respect. Since Dwayne Bravo was already a part of KKR’s bowling plan as an active mentor, both sides felt that duplicity of duty may not be in the best interest of the team. The KKR’s internal policy of facilitating professional development for employees made the transition easier.

His hiring might mark the end of Zaheer Khan’s stint with the franchise. With a long-term strategy in mind, LSG appears eager to invest in year-round, systematic support for its bowlers, and Bharat Arun is apt within that paradigm.
