Sarthak Ranjan Powers North Delhi Strikers To Thrilling Win Over Outer Delhi Warriors News24 –

In a thrilling clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, North Delhi Strikers defended their score of 163 successfully, claiming a 19-run victory against the Outer Delhi Warriors. Although there was a promising beginning for the Warriors, disciplined bowling and timely strikes enabled the Strikers to leave with all points.

Warriors Falter in Chase Despite Dabas’ Fight

In pursuit of 164 for a win, Outer Delhi Warriors were in charge early on, but their innings fell apart slowly as there were not enough partnerships and the increasing scoreboard pressure. Wicketkeeper-batter Keshav Dabas was the mainstay as he scored 40 off 26 balls, playing smooth strokes at a strike rate above 150 to make the chase possible.

Sanat Sangwan contributed a defensive 32 off 33 balls, attempting to stabilise the innings. But wickets continued to fall around him, and the middle order could not make the most of the platform. Consequently, the Warriors managed a mere 144/9 in their 20 overs, falling 19 runs short.

Dixit and Yadav Lead Strikers’ Bowling Assault

The match’s turning point was achieved by North Delhi Strikers through their bowling prowess. Vikas Dixit was the star of the show, taking 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs. He was ably assisted by Kuldip Yadav, who also took 3 crucial wickets and conceded 32 runs.

Harshit Rana continued the Warriors’ misery with 2 wickets, again embarrassing the chase at pivotal moments. The bowlers of the Strikers continued strict lines and kept the pressure on throughout the match, never letting the Warriors dominate the game.

Sarthak Ranjan’s Blistering 77 Propels Defendable Total

Earlier, opting to bat first, the North Delhi Strikers scored 163/7 in their 20 overs. Opener Sarthak Ranjan played a thrilling knock, hitting 77 runs from only 50 balls. His innings included 7 fours and 5 sixes, with a strike rate of 154.

He was well-assisted by Vaibhav Kandpal, who hit a good 38 from 33 deliveries, with five boundaries and a six. Their opening partnership set a solid platform before the middle order came in for some struggle against the Warriors’ bowlers.

Middle-Order Stutters, but Rapria Lifts Finish

Once the openers left the field, there was a lack of momentum in the middle order. A brief contribution was made by Yajas Sharma (8 off 8) and Pranav Rajvanshi (8 off 5), but there was a strong finishing touch provided by Arjun Rapria. His unbeaten 17 off only 9 deliveries, including one four and one six, gave a much-needed pace at the death and took the Strikers to a respectable score.

Tyagi Shines with the Ball for Warriors

For the Outer Delhi Warriors, Tyagi impressed with the ball, bowling a stingy spell of 4 overs for 19 runs and taking 2 wickets. His economy of 4.80 was the match’s best. Siddhant Sharma and Kamal Bairwa contributed two wickets each as well, to limit the Strikers in the middle overs.
