JioHotstar To Get AI-Powered Upgrades

Reliance is taking the streaming experience to a whole new level with a series of AI-powered features coming soon to the JioHotstar app. From a voice-enabled assistant to real-time dubbing and multi-angle viewing, these innovations promise to redefine how fans watch their favorite shows, movies, and live sports.

Riya – Your New AI Voice Assistant

Announcing the upgrades, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Jio, introduced Riya, a smart voice assistant designed to make searching for content more intuitive.

Finding what to watch from thousands of hours of content can feel overwhelming. That’s why we have built Riya, your new voice-enabled search assistant that makes discovering content effortless. Riya is built for the way you think and speak, whether it’s key moments from your favorite shows,” Ambani said.

Riya understands natural language commands, allowing users to find episodes, seasons, or even specific moments across years of content instantly.

Voice Print – Real-Time Dubbing with Original Voices

In a major leap forward, JioHotstar will also introduce Voice Print, a real-time voice cloning service. Using AI-driven lip-sync and voice replication technology, it will allow content to be dubbed into local languages – while preserving the original actor’s voice and expressions.

“With the power of AI voice cloning and lip-sync technology, your favorite stars will not just get dubbed, they will speak in your language, in their own voice, with perfect lip-sync on screen,” Ambani added.

JioLenZ & MaxView 3.0 – Watch From Every Angle

For sports enthusiasts and binge-watchers alike, Jio is also rolling out JioLenZ, a feature that allows viewers to enjoy content from multiple viewing angles, depending on their device orientation.

Additionally, MaxView 3.0 will provide real-time cricket features including live scorecards, instant highlights, multi-camera angles, and commentary in different languages – all while being optimized for the way fans naturally hold their phones.

“This cricket viewing experience has been designed around the way you naturally hold your phone, making it more immersive, more intuitive and closer to the action than ever before,” Ambani said.

Launch Timeline Yet to Be Announced

While these features promise to revolutionize digital streaming, Ambani did not reveal an official rollout date. Details are yet to appear on the Reliance or Jio websites.

For now, fans can only wait but if these innovations deliver as promised, JioHotstar could be on the verge of setting a new benchmark in immersive sports and entertainment viewing.
