Cricket fever is running high long before India’s much-awaited white-ball tour of Australia in October. With still 50 days to spare, Indian fan parks for all of the matches are already sold out, a sign of the huge excitement building up for the series.
Series Schedule and Fan Frenzy
The tour will see a three-match ODI series, followed by five T20Is, across eight legendary Australian grounds. As per a Cricket Australia press release, the sale of tickets – particularly in the sections reserved for Indian fans has been phenomenal.
“Cricket Australia is delighted to announce that the Indian fan areas at all eight host venues of the coming BKT Tyres Men’s ODI Series against India are officially sold out,” the announcement stated.
Public tickets for Sydney and Canberra matches are also close to selling out, with other venues experiencing fast sales.
Unparalleled Exhilaration
Emphasizing the frenzy, Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager – Events & Operations, Cricket Australia, stated:
We are delighted with the Indian fan zones selling out at all eight venues. We are also excited to see momentum building on this series and the continued immense passion of fans for the game. We’re looking forward to an electric atmosphere in the stands and a world-class showdown on the field between two great cricketing nations.”
Why This Series Matters
India and Australia share one of cricket’s most riveting rivalries, and this series promises high-intensity action. With the ODIs serving as preparation for major tournaments and the T20Is providing a stage for young stars, fans can expect fireworks on and off the field.
With tickets selling quickly, the wait is already on for one of cricket’s most highly anticipated series—and it’s evident the fans will feature large in the spectacle.
