Good News For Fans As Indian Skipper Was Seen Practising In Nets News24 –

India’s dynamic T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, looks all set for a strong return to international cricket as he hit the nets recently and it didn’t take long for the flair to show. From elegant sweeps to his trademark lofted drives, the 34-year-old was seen timing the ball to perfection, offering a clear signal that he’s close to full fitness ahead of his much-anticipated comeback.

Since stepping into the role of India’s T20I skipper, Suryakumar has scored 258 runs in 15 matches, but it was his IPL 2025 campaign that truly reminded everyone of his destructive capabilities. Turning out for Mumbai Indians, SKY had a sensational season finishing as the second-highest run-getter with 717 runs in 16 innings. He averaged a jaw-dropping 65.18, with a strike rate north of 167, and notched up five fifties, including a highest score of an unbeaten 73.

Just weeks after the IPL concluded in June, Suryakumar revealed that he had undergone sports hernia surgery in Munich, Germany. Once back in India, he continued his rehab at the National Cricket Academy’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) and it seems to have paid off.

With the Asia Cup 2025 around the corner – starting September 9, Suryakumar’s return adds a massive boost to India’s batting unit. The Men in Blue will begin their campaign against the UAE on September 10, and with SKY back at the top of his game, fans can expect fireworks.
