Salman Ali Agha confident ahead of India vs Pakistan match in Super Four Stage, Says ‘We’re ready for…’ News24 –

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha showed confidence after winning the match against UAE and he believes that his side has the ability to face any challenge after sealing their place in the Super Four Stage of Asia Cup 2025.

Before the match against UAE started, tensions escalated as Pakistan wasn’t ready to play the match at first and requested ICC for replacing match referee Andy Pycroft. But ICC rejected its plea for the second time following which after an hour delay and discussions Pakistan showed up for the match against UAE.

Setting a target of 147, Pakistan piled up UAE’s innings at a mere score of 105. This victory helped them secure a place in Super Four and now the Men in Green will against face India on Sunday, September 21.

After the match against UAE concluded Salman Ali Agha reflected on the win and the upcoming Super Four Stage.

“We got the job done, but we still need to improve our batting in the middle order. That’s been a concern and something we need to work on,” said Agha.

“Apart from that, we did a good job. We haven’t batted at our best yet…we’re still just finding our way to 150. If we bat well in the middle overs, we can push it to 170 no matter the opposition,” he added.

“Shaheen’s batting has improved a lot–he’s already great with the ball. Saim is someone who has been bringing us back into games, and I hope he can continue like this till the end,” Agha continued.

“We’re ready for any challenge, and if we keep playing the way we have over the last four months, we’ll be good against any side.”
