Pat Cummins gives big statement on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma ahead of India vs Australia ODI series, says ‘Last chance for…’ News24 –
Australia skipper Pat Cummins expressed his views on the upcoming ODI series against Australia. The three-match ODI series will be starting from Sunday, October 19 where India’s two stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be seen in action.
Following this, Pat Cummins highlighted that it might be the final opportunity for the fans in Australia to watch the iconic duo play on the Australian soil. Cummins has already been sidelined due to back injury and he will remain out in order to regain fitness for the Ashes 2025.
“Virat and Rohit have been part of almost every Indian side for the last 15 years, so this might be the last chance for the Australian public to see them playing out here,” Cummins told JioHotstar.
“They’ve obviously been champions of the game for India and are always very well supported. Whenever we play them, the crowd gets loud,” he added.
The ODI series will begin in Perth on October 19, then the other two matches will be in Adelaide and Sydney. After the conclusion of ODI series, India will play five-match T20I series.
Cummins also expressed his disappointment that he will be missing out on the crucial series.
“It’s a shame to miss the white-ball series against India. I think the crowds are going to be huge. There’s already a lot of excitement built up here in Australia,” he said.
“So, whenever you miss a game, it’s disappointing. But missing a big series like this is always a bit harder to take,” he added.
