The Asia Cup has already concluded with India emerging as the champions but the Men in Blue still haven’t received their well-deserved trophy. The deadlock continues with no solution in sight till now. The three matches India won against Pakistan were filled with controversies and the final turned out to be filled with chaos because of Mohsin Naqvi.
What happened in Asia Cup final?
In the Asia Cup final, India refused to take the trophy from PCB chief and ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, following which Naqvi ran away with the trophy and the Indian team had to celebrate trophy-less. India already defeated Pakistan thrice in the same tournament and while Pakistan was focused on controversies the Indian team outshined everyone to become the champions.
Where is the Asia Cup trophy?
According to Cricbuzz, the trophy is at ACC office in Dubai and the instructions have been issued by Mohsin Naqvi that it should not be moved. The office is there in the ICC academy and has a staff of just two employees.
When will the issue be resolved?
The Cricbuzz report further states that, a meeting is likely to be held from November 4 to 7. But Naqvi’s participation still remains uncertain and BCCI on the other hand remains firm on its stance. If Mohsin Naqvi and BCCI don’t arrive on a solution then there is a high possibility that the deadlock will persist.
