AUS vs IND: Australia Squad Changes

Australia have received a major boost ahead of the second ODI against India in Adelaide, with Adam Zampa and Alex Carey rejoining the squad. Zampa had missed the Perth ODI due to family reasons, while Carey was temporarily released to play for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield as part of his preparation for the upcoming Ashes.

Squad Changes: Zampa In, Kuhnemann Out

Spinner Matthew Kuhnemann, who impressed in the Perth ODI, has been released from the squad for now but will rejoin ahead of the T20I series in Canberra. His spot in the second ODI will be taken by Adam Zampa, who brings plenty of experience and spin threat to the Australian side.

Carey Returns, Philippe Likely to Miss Out

With Alex Carey back, Josh Philippe is likely to make way despite his quickfire 37-run cameo in Perth. Carey, Australia’s first-choice ODI wicketkeeper, has scored 2,212 runs in 72 matches at an average of 35.7 and a strike rate of 91.3. His calm presence in the middle order adds depth to the Australian batting lineup.

Inglis Still Out, May Return for 3rd ODI

Explosive batter Josh Inglis remains unavailable for the second ODI due to a calf injury, but reports suggest he could return for the third and final ODI in Sydney. Inglis has 766 runs in 33 ODIs at a healthy strike rate of 106.4, and his return will further bolster Australia’s batting.

Dwarshuis Ruled Out of ODI Series

Left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series due to a calf issue. However, he remains hopeful of recovering in time for the upcoming T20I series.
