Smriti Mandhana Reigns Supreme – Widens Lead as World No.1 in ODI Rankings News24 –


India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana is in the form of her life and continues to dominate the ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings. After two impressive half-centuries in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, including a classy 88 against England in Indore, Mandhana has widened her lead at the top.

She now sits 83 rating points ahead of her closest rival, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has also had a strong tournament, scoring 191 runs so far.

Mandhana’s red-hot form stretches back before the World Cup. She was recently named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month (September 2025) for her outstanding performance in the ODI series against Australia.

Big Movers in the Rankings

Alyssa Healy (Australia) has moved up to joint-third after hitting back-to-back centuries in the World Cup. Tazmin Brits (South Africa) jumps to 9th, continuing her good run with the bat. India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur also sees a rise, moving up three places to 15th.

Bowlers Making an Impact

England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead the ODI bowling rankings. But India’s Deepti Sharma has made a strong push, climbing to 3rd overall, thanks to her 13 wickets in just five World Cup matches.

Australia’s Alana King also moves up two spots to 7th, while three Pakistan bowlers made significant progress:
