Yashasvi Jaiswal marks Ranji Trophy return with blazing century against Rajasthan News24 –

Yashasvi Jaiswal announced his Ranji Trophy return in style as he smashed a magnificent century for Mumbai in match against Rajasthan at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The venue also serves as his home ground for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This was Jaiswal’s first appearance in domestic red-ball tournament since January 2025.

He started the day by hitting a composed half-century, the 23-year old converted this into a fluent century on Day 4 of the match – he reached the milestone in just 120 balls. His innings included 11 boundaries and this knock marked Jaiswal’s 5th Ranji Trophy hundred for Mumbai in just 21 innings since he made his debut in 2019.

Jaiswal has shown exceptional resilience in red-ball cricket and whenever he gets a chance he proves himself in all the under pressure situations as well. In the home Test Series against West Indies he brought his 7th ton at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. He became the second opener after Graeme Smith to reach seven centuries before turning 24.

Adding to the all-round impact, Jaiswal also made contribution with the ball as he dismissed Rajasthan’s top-scorer Deepak Hooda for 248. He has performed brilliantly well after returning from Australia where he didn’t get a chance to play in the ODI series as well as the T20I series.
