RCB probable retention revealed News24 –

WPL 2026 Retention Live Updates: With the WPL 2026 mega-auction scheduled for the final week of November, all five franchises have been asked by the BCCI to submit their list of retained players by November 5. Fans can expect live updates as teams reveal their retained stars along with the respective retention prices.

Each team is allowed to retain a maximum of five players, including up to three Indian players and two overseas internationals. The retention price structure is as follows:

  • Player 1: Rs 3.5 crore
  • Player 2: Rs 2.5 crore
  • Player 3: Rs 1.75 crore
  • Player 4: Rs 1 crore
  • Player 5: Rs 50 lakh

Franchises that choose to retain fewer than five players will receive Right to Match (RTM) cards to use during the auction. For instance, if Royal Challengers Bengaluru decide to retain only two players, they will be granted three RTM cards to bring back their preferred stars in the auction.

This retention strategy gives teams the flexibility to balance their squad, secure key players, and plan wisely for the upcoming mega-auction.
