The ‘WWE World Heavyweight Champion’ CM Punk was brutally assaulted by a masked man who invaded the cage during the men’s WarGames match. Bron Breakker took advantage of the situation and surged towards Punk with a devastating spear to get the pinfall and the win for his team at the Survivor Series PLE last weekend.
Paul Heyman, Pavlovian Breakker, tripped with the pinfall victory and confronted Raw General Manager Adam Pearce at WWE Raw’s December 1 fallout show. Later in the broadcast, during a segment, Heyman proclaimed that Punk would be facing Breakker in a World title defense on January 5 at Raw.

Bron Breakker sets sights on World Title as CM Punk gets ruled out
Since his arrival on the main roster, Breakker has only been there as the Intercontinental champion, and now he is aiming for the World title to start off the year 2026. The first Raw of 2026, which will take place on January 5, is going to be live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Meanwhile, Joe Tessitore, who was on commentary, disclosed that CM Punk has been ruled out of competition following the WarGames match. Even though Punk wasn’t there for the fallout show, Breakker did deliver a vicious promo once the news was out.
