AJ Lee’s part-time WWE role keeps fans guessing ahead of possible WrestleMania clash with Becky Lynch

An unfortunate WWE status update on AJ Lee’s WrestleMania opponent is possible. Since returning in September, AJ Lee has made Becky Lynch her target as part of CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ feud. After their mixed tag team match at Wrestlepablalooza, which resulted in a victory for Punk and Lee, the former Divas Champion reignited her feud with The Man when AJ cost Becky the Women’s Intercontinental title against Maxxine Dupri on RAW.

AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch emerges as major WrestleMania 42 talking point

Becky and AJ ended up playing for different sides at Survivor Series: WarGames, which resulted in victory for Lee’s team composed of Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair. Despite Lynch’s determination to win back the Women’s Intercontinental title from the Alpha Academy member, it appears that her rivalry with Lee has not come to a close yet. In a recent interactive session by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it was mentioned that even though nothing is certain so far, the match between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas is a topic that everyone in WWE is talking about as a potential match that is likely to take place.

SRS explains how AJ Lee’s part-time deal could stretch her feud with Becky Lynch

SRS also remarked that this was the reason he doubted earlier reports that AJ Lee got a full-time contract deal, as it could very well be the reason for prolonging her rivalry with Lynch at Mania too, hence, he came to the conclusion that the ex-Divas Champion probably did not sign a full-time deal. He included that in the run-up to The Biggest Stage Of Them All, there could be another women’s Royal Rumble showdown as a face-off between the two to further escalate their rivalry.

“When it was hinted at me, ‘Oh, well, you know, she’ll probably be facing Becky at Mania.’ And that’s a probably, it’s not worth reporting. But I was looking at it, and I was like, ‘Well, how on earth are they going to stretch that out seven months if she’s full-time?’

Well, she’s not full-time, that’s why. So they do the mixed tag, they do WarGames, probably do a Rumble spot, and they find a way to work it into ‘Mania. That’s what I’m expecting. I honestly, there was a lot of jumping the gun, and that’s a lot of people assuming things with the full-time reports.”
