The ICC scheduled meeting with the Bangladesh Cricket Board regarding moving T20 World Cup matches of Bangladesh that were scheduled in India to Sri Lanka has been postponed for Tuesday. This comes after the BCCI asked IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders to release ace Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman in response to “developments all around,” an apparent nod to reported Hindu attacks in Bangladesh.
In reaction to that, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has said that it doesn’t have confidence in taking their team to India for the upcoming T20 World Cup in light of deteriorating international relations.
Now another update comes in that the Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed through their official handle for Pakistan Super League on social media site X that Mustafizur Rahman will be taking part in the next PSL even before an auction has occurred.
Sources from the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that president Aminul Islam Bulbul is awaiting a formal written response from the ICC on an email sent through the BCB regarding concerns on security, particularly due to the BCCI’s direction to KKR to terminate Mustafizur’s Rs 9.2 crore contract.
