LA Knight could very well be the one to heat up a freezing Düsseldorf night on January 12, 2026. The WWE RAW show marking the first anniversary of the Netflix partnership, held on January 5 in Brooklyn, did not feature Knight at all. Instead, CM Punk, who defeated Bron Breakker to retain his World Heavyweight Championship, headlined the event.
Tag team and Intercontinental titles see new champions
The night also witnessed two title changes. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky defeated The Kabuki Warriors to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships, while Becky Lynch overcame Maxxine Dupri to become a two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
According to a report from Fightful Select, LA Knight was scheduled to fly to Germany ahead of the RAW taping at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf.
WWE prepares LA Knight for a major overseas push in 2026
While Knight’s appearance has not been officially confirmed, it would be unusual for WWE to send him overseas without creative plans in place. Over the past two months, several reports have suggested that WWE intends to position the 43-year-old as a top heel in 2026.
LA Knight was WWE’s busiest performer in 2025, competing in nearly 60 matches while also working numerous house shows.
LA Knight left devastated after brutal RAW main event attack
The main event of the December 8, 2025, episode of RAW saw Knight face The Vision’s Logan Paul. In the closing moments, a masked individual—later revealed to be Austin Theory—interfered and smashed Knight’s head into the announcers’ table. Paul then dragged Knight back into the ring and delivered a Frog Splash to secure the victory.
After the match, while Bron Breakker was cutting a promo, cameras shifted backstage, showing Knight refusing medical assistance. Logan Paul and Bronson Reed then ambushed him, brutally assaulting Knight by throwing him through a table before Reed delivered a Tsunami while Knight lay atop an SUV.
