Bad news for Pakistani cricketer ahead of T20 World Cup 2026, denied Indian visa due to…, his name is….

Pakistan-born American fast bowler Ali Khan has not been given a visa to enter India. The 35-year-old cricketer, who was born in Attock City in Pakistan’ Punjab region, shared the news on his Instagram story on Tuesday, January 13. He posted a photo of himself and wrote, “India visa rejected, but at least KFC made me happy.”

Why was the Indian visa denied?

Some players from the USA cricket team have not been given visas for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India because they have Pakistani background. USA fast bowler Ali Khan has said that his visa was rejected. Media reports also say that Ehsan Adil, Shayan Jahangir and Mohammad Mohsin were not granted visas by Indian officials.

What are Ali Khan’s stats?

Ali Khan has played 15 one-day matches and 18 T20 matches for the United States, taking 33 wickets in ODIs and 16 in T20Is. He was included in the USA team for the 2024 T20 World Cup and played Group A games against India and Pakistan. In those matches, he got Rishabh Pant out against India and Fakhar Zaman out against Pakistan.

He is also expected to be selected for the USA team in the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Ali Khan has played 99 T20 games so far and has taken 93 wickets. He played for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the first three seasons of the ILT20 and later represented Gulf Giants in the 2025–26 season. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders as a substitute for Harry Gurney, but he did not get a chance to play any matches for the team owned by Shah Rukh Khan.
