Pakistan told to skip T20 World Cup 2026, avoid humiliation amid Mohsin Naqvi’s boycott threats

Former India captain and World Cup winner Kris Srikkanth has praised India’s dominant run in the T20I cricket and suggested that facing India will be very tough for all the other teams. He even joked that Pakistan should also consider skipping the tournament after Mohsin Naqvi’s recent boycott threat of the tournament.

“In the last match, India scored 209 in 15 overs. In this match, they scored 150 in 10 overs. Seeing this, many teams might say ‘no, we are not coming. You can keep the cup’,” Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.

“Hey Pakistan, don’t come. Your man Mohsin Naqvi has been talking about it — don’t come. You will be thrashed. A six hit in Colombo will land in Madras. Beware. The best option is to stay away. Find an excuse and don’t come.

“These boys will thrash them hard.

“This will send an alarming signal to every cricket team in the world. This kind of hitting in T20 cricket — I have never seen anything like it.”

India have looked absolutely exceptional in T20Is and have registered a dominant run against New Zealand. In the five-match T20I series against BlackCaps as India now have won three out of 5 matches and will be hoping to continue the winning streak.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also likely to come under tight scrutiny from International Cricket Council (ICC) if they decide to pull out of the upcoming T20 World Cup. The possible consequences include suspension of PCB’s revenue share, limits on future bilateral engagements and very minimal role in the upcoming ICC tournaments.
