Pakistan has refused to play its match against India in the group stage of the T20 World Cup. Following this decision, the ICC has become actively involved and is awaiting an official response from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Match scheduled for February 15 in Colombo

This high-voltage match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for February 15 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. However, the Pakistani government has already made it clear that it will boycott the match.

India will abide by ICC rules

The Indian team will fully comply with ICC guidelines and will travel to Sri Lanka for the match. The team will participate in practice sessions and hold press conferences as per the schedule. Captain Suryakumar Yadav will be present on the field at the time of the toss.

BCCI to speak after discussions with ICC

Rajeev Shukla stated that the ICC has taken a strong stance on the spirit of the game, and the BCCI agrees with it. He said that the board will issue a further statement on the matter only after discussions with the ICC.

The ICC has clarified that participating in only selected matches is against the spirit of any global tournament. It also stated that it has not yet received any formal communication from the PCB regarding this decision.
