Apple’s New Foldable Would Be A Mac Or A Foldable iPad? Leaks Spill The Details News24 –

Along with the foldable iPhone Apple has also been working on the development of a a new larger foldable device that, as per the leaks would be around 19 inches in size. There have been constant rumors about the possible new foldable device that is bigger than that of the foldable Phone that Apple has under development. The rumors have been split in between the possibility of the device being a Mac or a iPad. 

Possibility Of It Being A Mac

A slew of rumours have suggested that Apple is working on a new  foldable Macbook with an extensive display design. The Macbook already has a foldable design that is in the shape of a clamshell. The key difference here would be the continuous display that folds in the middle. The foldable Mac would be able to provide the users with the ability to use it as a traditional macbook with a virtual keyboard. 

Analyst Ming Chi -Kuo had referred to the larger Apple foldable device as a MacBook, and as per the analyst it would have a 18.8 to 20.2 inch display. Display analyst Ross Young has also written about Apple’s work on a notebook with a 18.8 inch display. 

Possibility Of The New Device Being iPad

Bloomberg’s Mark Gruman has referred to the device as a iPad, and as per him the display of the new foldable would be anywhere around 20 inches in Size.  Due to the divergent opinions a contrast has set in, would the new device be an iPad or a Mac or Apple would be launching a completely new moniker for the foldable form factor. 

Beyond the contrast Jeff Pu has recently reported that Apple’s large screen foldable would be a MacBook iPad Hybrid, that would likely run Mac OS, rather than iPad OS. The devices would have a completely new OS considering the support of the Touch Input as well. Its also possible that Apple might unify the iOS19 as well as mac OS 16 to provide a new operating system and pave the way for foldable devices that might be launched in the future as well.
