Car crashes into 1st floor of Pennsylvania home, police say ‘intentional act’

In what looks like a scene out of an action movie, a car crashed into the first floor of a house in the US’s Pennsylvania on Sunday. After crashing into the house, the Toyota Corolla was dangling from the lower roof over the house’s front porch.

An administrator at the Junction Fire Company, which assisted in the response to the crash, told the BBC that anywhere from one to three people were inside the house at the time of the crash but no one was injured.

A Pennsylvania State report on the incident said they had determined through an investigation that the crash was “an intentional act”. It added that the driver will face charges for the crash.

After crashing into the house, the driver, Evan Miller (20), climbed out onto the roof and was taken to a hospital with injuries.

Officials are unclear how the car crashed into the first floor of the house. However, the Junction Fire Company official told the BBC that it is likely that the driver hit a culvert – which was on the left side of the house – and got propelled into the air to land on the first floor.

A photo from inside the house shows the dangling car and a gaping hole in the wall. Broken wood and other building materials are scattered on the floor, where a treadmill is still standing, while a bed is flipped on its side.

There was a massive hole in the top corner of the house when the car was removed.
