Four crew members aboard the NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 mission successfully reached the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, March 16 at 1:35 am ET. As they entered the hatch of the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, they were welcomed by stranded NASA Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore. The astronauts docked with the ISS are Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov .
This mission, launched by NASA and SpaceX, aims to bring back Williams and Wilmore, who have been stuck in space since June 2024. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft took off aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Centre in NASA, Florida on Friday at 7.03 pm ET. The Dragon docked with the ISS around 10 am.

Sunita Williams’ First Reaction
As Crew-10 members entered ISS after completing their 28-hour journey, Sunita Williams expressed her excitement, saying “Houston, thanks for tuning in early morning. Great to see our friends arrive.”

On reaching the International Space Station, NASA Astronaut said, “I cannot tell you the immense joy of our crew when we looked out of the window and saw the space station for the first time.”
The US Army Colonel further stated, “You can hardly put it into words. The ride up the Falcon 9, orbiting the earth for the last couple of days, it has been absolutely incredible. It is something none of us could do by ourselves. You cannot be great without the greatness of others. And the greatness of the ground control team has really shined through in getting us up here safely.”
