Man murders 15-year-old sister after she refuses to end relationship

A man in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh allegedly murdered his sister as he was upset with her for not ending her relationship with a youth. The alleged murder took place soon after the 15-year-old girl eloped with the youth. Reportedly, the accused had been planning to dispose of the body but he was arrested before he could do that.

The 20-year-old accused, who works as a welder in the national capital, returned home around three days ago. On the other hand, the 15-year-old girl returned home two days ago, after she allegedly eloped with a distant relative around two weeks ago.

Reportedly, the teenager’s family had not approached the police or lodged a missing complaint, they had been looking for her on their own. When the girl returned home, her brother made an attempt to convince her against continuing the relationship.

The accused asked the teenager to distance herself from the youth but she refused. Following this, the brother and sister had an argument and when it escalated, the accused allegedly started assaulting her. The teen suffered serious injuries and fell to the ground. Later, the accused allegedly strangled the girl.
