21-Year-Old Student Stabbed To Death At Home In Kollam, Killer Dies By Jumping In Front Of Train News24 –


Kollam: In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old was stabbed to death in Kerala’s Kollam. The killer later died by suicide after murdering the deceased. He jumped in front a train. The incident was reported on Monday at around 7 pm. Both the bodies are kept in the district hospital mortuary. The victim has been identified as Febin George Gomes, a BCA student and resident of 162 Flori Dale, Vilappuram Mataka Nagar, Uliyakovil, Kollam. While the killer has been identified as Tejas Raju, native of Neendakara.

Attacker Dies By Suicide

Mathrubhumi quoted eyewitnesses who stated that the attacker arrived in white car and stabbed Febin in his house. Febin’s father, George Gomes was also stabbed when he tried to intervene. The attacker fled the scene after stabbing Febin. He reportedly died by suicide by jumping in front of the track. Body of the attacker was found on the railway tracks near Kadappakada along with the car parked nearby. Febin was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to injuries.

In another incident, reported last month, a 23-year-old man murdered five people, including his family members and girlfriend. He injured his mother near Venjarammoodu police station area in Thiruvananthapuram. The accused was arrested and taken into police custody. Further investigation is underway in the case. According to police, financial crisis was one of the reasons why he committed the crime.
