Noida Traffic Police Rolls Out SOS Diversion Plans! Film City Road, Expressway And THESE Areas To Get Emergency Routes News24 –
Noida: Noida in Uttar Pradesh is one of the busiest cities that faces excessive traffic jam all the time. To tackle traffic congestion, the Noida traffic police have now prepared SOS traffic diversion plans. The diversion plans have been made for Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, 130-metre road, and Surajpur. These routes usually face excessive traffic pressure. The Noida traffic police announced about the new plan on Monday and added that all traffic personnel have been informed about it. They have been also acquainted with the circumstances in which the plan should be applied.
22 Emergency Points Identified
Deputy Commissioner of police (traffic) Lakhan Singh Yadav stated that as many as 22 emergency traffic diversion points for key routes in Noida and Greater Noida have been created. Notably, most of these points fall under Noida Expressway. This is so because the traffic pressure remains particularly heavy on that stretch.
DCP Yadav further added that the SOS plan aims to prevent long traffic jam and smooth flow of traffic along the key routes. Commuters will be largely benefitted from this plan.
The emergency traffic diversion will be used when traffic personnel detect congestion which is about to build up or in a gridlock situation. These restrictions can also be implemented during VIP movements on specific routes.
These Areas Get Emergency Routes
The data provided by the Noida traffic police mentioned that there are eleven emergency traffic diversion points from Noida to the Greater Noida side on Noida Expressway, seven from Greater Noida to Noida side. Additionally, two diversion points are located near 130 m road, and Surajpur area in Greater Noida.
Moreover, the traffic will be diverted towards Sector 16 if personnel observe pressure on Film City road. Similarly, vehicles will be diverted towards Sector 18 if jam is found near Mahamaya flyover.
If excessive pressure is reported on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near Mahamaya flyover, Sector 96, Advant Navis, then the traffic will be diverted towards Sector 37, 44, and 93.
The diversion will last for 15-30 minutes until the congestion improves.
