Lucknow Hospital Witnesses Emotional ICU Wedding Of Daughters

Lucknow: Two daughters turned an ICU ward into their wedding venue after their father was admitted with serious health issues. To fulfill their dad’s wish to see them married, the girls held their nikah in the hospital, with their bedridden father, doctors, and nurses in attendance. Visuals from this unique wedding are going viral on social media and moving the hearts of many people.

The ceremony occurred this June, lasting about five minutes beside Junaid’s hospital bed. Responding to the family’s request, the healthcare authorities permitted the wedding on the premises. However, they ensured the rituals were conducted swiftly to avoid disturbing other ICU patients.

Participants wore medical gowns instead of fancy attire to enter and join the wedding. Adhering to strict infection control protocols, only four people were permitted inside the ward to conduct the nikah. The couple married next to the ailing man’s bed in the presence of a cleric.

Junaid and his daughters came from Mohanlalganj, a village in Lucknow, UP. The grooms, who were based in Mumbai, traveled to the Lucknow hospital for the wedding.
